This project, currently underway, is compiling a literature review anddata inventory of past and current research in the Penobscot River and itswatershed. Anticipating increased interest in the river as the Penobscot RiverRestoration Project moves forward, we hope to provide scientists, educators,and communities with needed information on water quality trends, expectedimpacts of dam removal, river flora and fauna, environmental history, andcurrent monitoring efforts. This project will provide direct access to abroad array of information from the Penobscot River basin.
